Family of Florencio Varela Murder Victim to Hold Protest at Prosecutor's Office

The family of Lara Gutiérrez, one of the young victims of a triple narco-style murder in Florencio Varela, announced they will hold a mobilization at the San Justo Prosecutor's Office next Monday to demand justice for the 15-year-old teenager, as well as for Morena Verdi and Brenda Loreley Del Castillo. The mother stated that "they took her life."

Sources in the case informed the Argentine News Agency that the gathering will take place at 11:00 AM at the judicial headquarters on Hipólito Yrigoyen 2199, in the La Matanza district of Buenos Aires Province.

"We demand that prosecutor Adrián Arribas meet with the family of Lara Gutiérrez," the relatives of the victim stated.

The family demands "Justice for Lara and all the girls" in a case with 11 detainees and three fugitives at large.

Stella Maris, Lara's mother, spoke with NA and said she "does not want" the case to be transferred to federal jurisdiction because the suspects Alex Ydone Roger Castillo, David Gustavo Morales Huamani, alias "Crazy David" or "Tarta", and Manuel David Valverde Rodríguez, uncle of Tony Janzen Valverde Victoriano, better known as "Little J", who remains imprisoned in Peru, have not yet been captured.

"There is still a lot to investigate," the woman considered, stating that she has "very fond memories" of the victim: "They took her life."

"She could have changed everything she did, become a studious person with a future full of wonderful things," lamented Stella Maris.

Miguel Ángel Villanueva Silva (25), Iara Daniela Ibarra (19), Maximiliano Andrés Parra (18), Celeste Magalí González Guerrero (28), Milagros Florencia Ibáñez (20), Matías Agustín Ozorio (28), Ariel Giménez (29), and Sotacuro have been remanded in custody for the murders.

Joseph Freyser Cubas Zavaleta, 31, known as "Mr. Jota", was accused of the crimes of "illegal deprivation of liberty aggravated by the plurality of participants and because one of the victims was a minor, in conjunction with aggravated homicide for being premeditated against two or more people, for being committed with treachery and cruelty, and for violence of a man against a woman, and other related crimes."
